The C2C Family is currently hosting the second edition of  the Pastoral Training Course for leaders in theMidwest.  This is the second application of Pastoral Training.  The pilot year (Guinea pigs) was with the Mankato and Omaha church.  Now that all of the bugs are worked out we have launched into the second year.  The class is held on one Saturday a month for 9 months.  The class is lead by Don and Cheri White from  Omaha and is hosted by the church in Waverly.  It is attended by about 80 leaders coming from Kirksville,Odessa, Waverly, Pittsburg, and Harrington KS.  The material is excellent.  Last session Dave Limmer came presented the Sozo/Encounter training.  It gave some excellent training on how to help people encounter Jesus so they can be cleansed of sins, healed of hurts, and delivered from bondage

Some of the best aspects of the course is not only the material but also the interaction with people from the various churches who give care for God’s flock.  It has a similar effect that the three annual feasts did in the Old Testament.  By coming together it helped reinforce that each tribe was part of a bigger nation of God’s people.  That alone brought great encouragement.   Here is a testimony of Ryan Posterick  from Pittsburg Kansas.

I just arrived back from the first pastoral training session in Waverly and in addition to being challenged in my personal walk with God, I was extremely blessed by the family time among the churches. One of the parts to the training involved breaking into groups of four to six in which we were given challenging questions to discuss and then pray together. This allowed me personally to get to know three people that I have spoken to a number of times but have not had the opportunity to relate with on this level. It was a great time there, not to mention the van ride time with local family. Would highly recommend the Pastoral Training. -Ryan
